What happened in December

1. First of all, I went to Batu Caves for the very first time (not the temple, that AREA) to work. Drove there every day for 1 week and my petrol finishes faster than ever (it's like going to KL).

2.
I also went to Johor for a week for a job engagement. We managed to finish on Friday and we went to Singapore for half day on Saturday! Woohoo! They have UNIQLO there!!!!!!!! And the price is quite affordable even after converting.

3. We had our department Christmas dinner on the night before annual dinner. Great timing =.= Anyway, I was the Santarina for the night, mainly because no one else could really fit the dress haahhha. Yeah, it's like cinderella, the glass shoes were too small, same goes to the rented costume. It was decided on that evening itself that I should wear it. Anyway, it was kinda tiring having to assist Mr. Santa on giving out presents. It was difficult to spot people in that dim lighting and the crowd!! AND, Mr. Santa forgotten his duties halfway and started partying with the rest, so it left me with the other committee members. Heck, I wasn't even a committee! But it was okay, I had fun being Santarina (not a slutty one!). At the end of the day, I was awarded with a shot of bacardi coke. Hmm... I'm not a fan of bacardi...

4.
My very first annual dinner!! I have not been to a lot of proms before this. Didn't even go to my high school's. And my college's, sadly, were not that fantastic either. This however, was quite fun and entertaining. But, it burnt a big hole in my wallet. Like I said in my previous post, everything I bought also came from the excuse of "annual dinner". I only get to dress up once a year mar... Must look my best! Right??? Even though I didn't hire makeup service nor hair styling service, I think I still spent quite a lot for the items I was using. I bought the eyeshadow, falsies, blusher and lipstick/gloss just for the dinner alright! LOL. There also dunno how much dii. Dress was cheap luckily.

Some of the items i used:

Photos from the night:

My brother..really

she won a Samsung Omnia II phone!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2nd prize! He's just posing.

4. Was at pyramid on Christmas eve. And it's also the day my bonus came out, as well as the promotion list. Let's not talk about it and move on to PHOTOS!

5. I cooked today! Pasta + shrimps + bacon. Not very satisfying. Hmm...I give myself 5/10 for this.

I don't know when will I update this blog next...maybe next week? or maybe in February lol. Peak period is coming very very soon....

The adventurous side of me

I was invited to join a bunch of strangers in an adventure trip. I hestitated at first, because I only knew like 3 people there. But I'm glad I did join the 2d1n trip!

We met up at 5.45am in the morning and embarked to Gua Tempurung.

Oh of course we stopped by at one of the hentians to have our breakfast, I think it was Tapah's? Surprisingly there was a Chinese stall there and their noodles are great!

Anyways, we spent about 2.5 hours in the dark, cold, and wet hole.

It wasn't that scary, just walk walk walk and get soaked in the water.

To me, there were 3 challenging areas to get through.

1. we had to soak ourselves in water with the heads up (duh!) as the rocks were so low at one or two areas!

2. sliding down slippery stones were pretty scary to me because it was so steep!!

3. squeezing through a tiny hole to get to the other side. People with extra kgs won't be able to get through this hole... I scratched my arms here.

And oh it was pretty tiring because of we had to climb like few hundred flights of staircase to get out.

We left the place with pants and shoes soaking wet and filled with sand.

Next, we proceeded to white water rafting!! The highlight of the trip!

gearing up for the raft

All geared up~ listening to the safety instructions

Group photo before getting into the river

My fellow teammates! :) The Malay fella was one of the instructors

We took a break halfway through the river

=)

OMG THAT WAS SO FUN AND EXCITING! I THOUGHT I WAS DYING WHEN WE WERE BODY RAFTING TO GET TO THE BOAT. To top it off, it was RAINING, which adds to the excitement and danger. It was a near death experience baby!

Note: We did not get onto the boat when we were at the so-called jetty, as the water current was quite strong. So, we were 'thrown' into the water and we were suppose to allow the current to bring us to the area where the water was still (and where the boats are at) --> Body Rafting. I couldn't swim at all as the water was splashing on my face and keep bringing me down under OMG. I really really thought I was about to drown and die =.= Good thing that the instructor had thrown the rope accurately and I was able to catch it. I was then pulled towards the boat. But...it was still fun! LOL.

On the next morning, after having dimsum and ipoh white coffee, we visited this famous tree where the rockets declared their independence...err..I think. I hardly read political news. No, I should say, I hardly read newspaper ever since I started work!!

Political handshake

Last but not least - PAINTBALL!

It rained earlier that day, hence the area was all muddy and slippery, and according to the owners, there are leeches, too!!

We were so afraid of leeches that all of us applied mosquito repellent ALL OVER our body.

But at the end of the game, none of us has donated blood but all our shoes and pants were muddy. Eew.

Oh btw, I SUCK in paintball hahahha!

After the game, we were already soooo exhausted from all the activities and stuff, so we went to Sungkai's hot spring! It was nothing much, just like a mini water playground to me. There were people who were making half-boiled egg. There's no way I'm gonna eat those lol. I just find it unhygienic as so many people has dipped in the water...some were dipping their feet.... *shudders*

In overall, I'm really really glad that I took part in this adventure trip. I have had so many first times from this trip, like first visit to Gua Tempurung, first experience in water rafting and paintball, and first time seeing a leech!

I hope we will have a second adventure trip together! =D

My interest in outdoor activities is growiiiiiing! ♥

♥ Lunasol and Coffret D'or ♥

It has been quite some time since my last haul post (Stila's).

That's because I have not been buying cosmetics after that.

I still spend on clothes though....hahha!

Anyway, I went to Kanebo's warehouse sales in Bangsar yesterday and came back with these babies.

P/S: I've just learned how to get this heart symbol "♥". Very excited. Will be using it a lot from now on ☻♥☺♦♣♠•◘○

I love blushers!! Got myself a Lunasol's Contrasting Cheeks N in 10 Coral Orange. Love it to bits because I have no orange blusher. ♥

Shimmer eyeliner which I've been wanting to get one. The shimmer is quite understated and natural looking. Can be used during daytime. This is Star Dazzling Liner in WT-04 ♥.

It's sooo easy to use but quite difficult and painful to remove.

2 lovely palettes from Coffret D'or. ♥♥ The palette itself is like a mirror!

♥ 3D Lighting Eyes in 02, which is a lovely blue-green shade. The colour exceeds my expectation!
Very unique.
♥ TD Eyes in 03. Been wanting this for a very long time and now I managed to get it at 50% off! Tried it on my eyes just now. I love the green shade but on my eyes..hmm..somehow it makes me look a little tired. Maybe it's my skill problem. Will try it again soon. Or maybe the blue-green shade (from 3D) on my other eyes make me look so fresh that this green couldn't take centre stage.

FS Eyes in 02. There were no sample of this at the salon, but I got one anyway out of curiousity. The gel shadow is very jelly-like. It bounces back whenever I touch it, literally. lol. However, the colour hardly shows up even on my fair skin. And the texture is a little gritty on the eyes (no heart for this).

Fair Crea White Foam. Feels so much like Freshel's facial foam. A little drying. I don't really like it..(no heart for this too)

That's all for my Kanebo haul from yesterday!

We spent like 2 hours plus there....crazy I know LOL.

We were so thirsty after that so we went for Banana Leaf Rice opposite Bangsar Village.

It was sooooo good...

After that, since we were already in Bangsar...how can we not shop at the boutiques around?!?!?!?

But, the clothing range is a little disappointing this round. Even so, I still manage to get 2 dresses lol.

♥ Plain white dress for only RM39. I think it's a steal because the material is really good. Nice and thick. Stretchy material. Not semi-transparent. Perfect for work or dinner at a nice restaurant. And it's knee-length for me!!! Rare case man!!!! Whee!!

♥ Flowery mini dress! Perfect for someone so petite like me. I don't think anyone above 155cm will fit this lol. This is already quite short for me for a dress.. I cannot imagine someone with a 165cm frame wearing this.

***

Ahhh...besides my Bangsar shopping haul. I got these recently, too.

♥ Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Good for people with oily lids like mine. I need this for my upcoming company Annual Dinner. Don't want to have smeared eyeshadow in my photos...

♥ Red Earth Secret Potion for highlighting. Bought it for the annual dinner as well.

***

Oklah.."annual dinner" is only an excuse for me to buy cosmetics hahahah!

Next, I need to shop for accessories for my annual dinner dress...

LOL

Northam Hotel

Here are the photos which I have promised.

But stupid me for forgetting to take a photo of the building itself...

Note that I was staying at the JUNIOR SUITE.

Keyword is Junior.

Toilet #1 (at the entrance, which I've only used it once, or twice)

Living room

The service which I love the most - FREE BROADBAND

View from the huge glass window. Not impressive. The other side of the hotel faces the sea though (and they get The Star newspaper every morning!! What I get is New Straits Times...).

My super big bed, which is actually 2 single bed combined into 1, making it a king size bed.

Bathroom + second toilet

JACUZZI BAY-BEH!

I only get to try it on the first night though. Worked until 9pm and 11pm on the subsequent days.

Bathroom has weighing scale~~ not gonna show you how much I weight :P

Me using the internet and watching tv at night.

Bliss.

Hello from Penang!

I'm currently on a job engagement in Penang.

It's quite a big and rich client hence each of us get ONE suite by ourselves!! The suite is actually spacious enough for at least 2.

It consists of 2 bathrooms (with one JACUZZI!!!!!), FREE BROADBAND (WOOHOO!), 2 tvs, 1 living room, 1 bedroom and 1 work desk. It even comes with a weighing scale in the closet!

Damn nice...

Makes me want to stay in the suite only...

Will upload photos when I'm back to KL!

I'm so going to try the jacuzzi tonight :P

Till then!

I'm Bored

So I spring cleaned my room.

Starting from the closet.

I managed to get rid of 4 bags full of clothes!

LoL..yeah I DID have a lot of clothes.

95% of them were bought during my secondary school days and early college days..when I have ZERO sense of fashion lol.

Not saying that I dress very well now, but I found my style at least.

The same goes to make up.

While going through the closet, I noticed that 80% of my working clothes are black/white/grey... very very dull!!

Which means....

IT'S TIME TO SHOOOOOP! XD

Must ban myself from buying anymore dark colours though.

Oh yeah...I did get rid of some cosmetics, skin care and hair products, too!

So now..I HAVE MORE ROOM FOR NEW STUFF!!

Muahahah!

$$$$$$$

...

Alright...

Back to study...

Department Trip

It's good to know that our bosses are actually fun-loving people, too!

Team building games: Don't even ask what we were trying to do

My dress costs only RM15 OMG!

Our ass vs Eagle's ass

Group photo! Spot me! ;)

I gave in

Ahhhhhhh...I really shouldn't be spending anymore on cosmetics!!!!

It has been awhile since I last bought one though...

It's one scary-looking pink. But it makes me look even fairer on my already-fair skin!

So yeah, I gave in...

From Graduand to Graduate

Melbourne and Sydney trip

I traveled to Australia during the first 2 weeks of September!!!

Yeah yeah I know...old news...most of you should have already seen the photos on my Facebook. I'm still blogging this for the sake of blogging =p

I'm actually not very inspired to write today. It's already 2.43am!! I'm here just because I'm waiting for Chuen's farewell photos to be finish uploaded in Facebook.

Having spent 11 days in Melbourne and 3 days in Sydney, I would conclude that Australia is not a place for me to live.....for now at least LOL. However, it is a place where I would like to spend a month or two every year, for a long vacation. It's VERY laid back. So relax until...I don't know what to do! Makes me lazy, less motivated to work. BUT BUT BUT, I will not guarantee that I will not think otherwise in the future, especially when I have kids and family, when I need time for my home, when I need to settle down. For now, I am still very ambitious and motivated to climb the corporate ladder.

So anyway, I shall share with you a few of my favourite photos, things, animals, food and people *wink wink* from Aussie.

Note: Photos are not in sequence

1. Max Brenner hot chocolate waffle drink

2. Meerkats from Werribee Wildlife Park

3. Gay Lion from Werribee Wildlife Park
We actually caught him humping on another lion for a few seconds!!! OMG!! It was all video-ed down =p Does he look gay to you?

4. Hippo from Werribee also

This Bob hesitated on getting into the icy cold water.

5. Vietnam beef noodles

6. Sushi burger

7. Scary-looking Pelicans at Sydney Fish Market

8. Opera House

We even went in and watch a 45-minute dance show!!

9. Sydney Bridge + Opera House Tickets!

10. Darling Harbour

This is where we went for our whale-watching tour (saw more dolphins than whales), Sydney Wildlife Park and Sydney Aquarium.

11. KOALA BEAR!!!!!!!

12. Wallabies!!!

I got to touch one of the babies!!!!!!!!

13. Kangaroo

14. Seagulls
15. Lavender Garden and Ashcombe Maze
If only it were spring...its rose garden were BOTAK, trees were BOTAK, the little stream were not flowing, too T-T. We tried the maze, almost got lost within 10 minutes LOL. Gave up after that as we were running out of time.

16. Cape Schanck

17. Nyah

18. Lucius

And my favourite of all....

19. Dear!

Thanks for organising this trip and taking care of me when I was sick, dear! I know it burnt a deep hole in your pocket, but I had a splendid time in Aussie (apart from the 3-4 days when I was sick).

Faster come back!

I miss you :(
